Purpose: Celebrate First Contact Day

Some of the crew gathered to watch the Star Trek movie "First Contact" to honor the historic day in the fandom. First Contact Day, April 5th, is a Trek holiday to celebrate the first contact between Humans and Vulcans. This took place in Bozeman, Montana after the first warp ship took flight. The ship, named the Phoenix, was created and piloted by Zephram Cochrane, a famous name in Star Trek history.

We had a delightful time watching the movie and discussing the historical implications of time travel. As well as the differing opinions of the Prime Directive. A good time was had by all...I witnessed the excited happy feet of a fellow crewmember as the title credits began to roll.

Thank you, Dr. Cochrane for your contribution to interstellar travel!
