01 // HOW DO I ENLIST IN THE USS CANDOR CREW?
We'd love to have you! There is a prerequisite that you must be a member of STARFLEET International before you can sign on to a ship. You can find both links on our website page HERE.
02 // ARE THERE FEES INVOLVED IN JOINING?
STARFLEET Internation does have an annual membership fee of $10. Is it free to join the USS Candor once you have become a member of SFI.
03 // WHERE DO SHIP-WIDE DISCUSSIONS TAKE PLACE?
We have a discord channel that is open to all USS Candor members. Here we will post announcements and updates and it's a great place to get to know your fellow crewmates.
04 // CAN I INTERACT WITH OTHER FEDERATION SHIPS?
Absolutely. The USS Candor is part of a larger network, allowing you to connect with enthusiasts from other regions and vessels within the fandom. We only ask that you do not try and recruit people from other ships.
05 // WHAT ARE THE SUBSPACE FREQUENCY DECORUM EXPECTATIONS?
Maintain absolute professionalism. Harassment, unauthorized data scraping, and spamming are considered violations of STARFELLT International rules and may result in immediate dismissal.
06 // HOW DO I COORDINATE an away mission?
If you have an idea for an event or an away mission, please bring it up to your Department Head or the Executive Officer.
07 // ARE THERE SPECIALIZED RANKS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY?
Yes. We offer roles within multiple departments including: Science, Medical, Engineering, Tactical, Communications, Command etc. Please reach out to the Executive officer to see how you can choose a department.
08 // CAN I SUBMIT NEW SCIENTIFIC DATA TO THE NEWSLETTER?
Please do! Science Officers are standing by to review contributions to our historical and technical archives. Submit your findings via the standard data transmission forms.
09 // WHAT ARE THE UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS?
Uniforms are encouraged, but are not required. Some crew members have purchased t-shirts to wear on Away Missions. We want all crew members to be comfortable while participating in ship activities.
10 // HOW DO I LOG A FORMAL GRIEVANCE WITH COMMAND?
Direct conflict is inefficient. Open a secure channel with a Command Officer to initiate the mediation protocol. We prioritize crew cohesion and internal diplomacy. Email USSCandorXO@gmail.com
11 // ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS ON NEUTRAL ZONE ENGAGEMENT?
External political discussions and controversial prime-sector debates are prohibited in open frequencies. We maintain a focus on speculative exploration and community unity.
12 // HOW DO I ASCEND TO THE COMMAND DIVISION?
Promotion to Command requires significant contributions to ship operations, consistent attendance at meetings, and a proven ability to lead tactical simulations. Anyone who wishes to be an officer needs to complete the Officer Training Course at STARFLEET Academy.
14 // HOW IS PERSONNEL PRIVACY PROTECTED IN THE DATABASE?
Starfleet encryption protocols are in full effect. Your terrestrial identifiers are kept secure and are never transmitted to outside agencies without explicit clearance.
13 // WHAT IS THE PROTOCOL FOR INTER-FLEET DIPLOMACY?
When interacting with other crews, represent the USS Candor with honor. We often participate in joint-fleet maneuvers and expect all crew to act as ambassadors.
15 // ARE THERE SPECIALIZED DUTY STATIONS FOR ENLISTED CREW?
We do not have specialized roles for enlisted members, as all of our departments are open to anyone on the USS Candor.
16 // WHAT DO I DO DURING A TOTAL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION?
If the digital hub becomes unresponsive, initiate backup protocols. Check secondary transmission lines (discord) for emergency maintenance updates from Engineering. An email alert will be sent out.
17 // CAN I write an away mission log for the website?
Creativity is highly valued. Submit your narrative logs to the Communications Officer for review and possible inclusion in our declassified archive publications.
18 // ARE MINI-MISSIONS AND TACTICAL SIMULATIONS MANDATORY?
While enlistment is voluntary, active participation in Away Missions/online simulations is required for rank advancement and access to higher-level deck permissions.
19 // HOW DO I ACQUIRE OFFICIAL USS CANDOR GEAR?
We hope to have official Candor gear in the near future for purchase.
20 // WHO HOLDS FINAL COMMAND AUTHORITY ON THE SHIP?
Ultimate authority rests with the Commanding Officer of the ship. They oversee all high-level mission planning and personnel recruitment directives.
